What is a hair system?

A complete introduction to non-surgical hair replacement

A hair system is a thin base — lace, skin, or monofilament — hand-ventilated with real human hair that bonds to your scalp to restore hair where it has thinned. It is non-surgical, removable, and made to match your hairline, color, and density. You wear it daily and reapply it every few weeks as part of a simple routine.

It works by covering the area of loss and blending with the hair you still have. The base is cut to fit your head, the hair is matched to your existing color and direction, and the system attaches with adhesive or tape so it stays secure through normal daily life.

How it works, step by step

  • The base. A breathable lace or mono mesh, or a smooth skin (poly) base, is shaped to your coverage area.
  • The hair. Real human hair is knotted or looped into the base at a density and color matched to you, with a softened hairline at the front.
  • The attachment. The system bonds to your scalp with tape or liquid adhesive in the area you keep trimmed short.
  • Daily wear. You style it like your own hair. It stays on through showering, sleeping, and exercise when bonded correctly.
  • Maintenance and reorder. Every few weeks you remove, clean, and reattach it. Bases wear out over months, so you rotate in a fresh unit and reorder through your account.

What to expect

  • It restores hair without medication or surgery, at any stage of loss.
  • It needs a regular maintenance routine — cleaning, reattachment, and replacement over time.
  • A well-matched system is undetectable at conversational distance, and the finest bases hold up at close range.
  • It is an ongoing commitment of cost and upkeep, not a one-time purchase. We are upfront about that before you buy.

How we work

Hair Solutions Co. operates online. You consult with us remotely, your system is made and shipped to you, and you reorder through your customer portal. There is no in-person studio fitting — measurement and matching are done with your photos and measurements.

When to contact us

Reach out for a consultation if you are unsure which base or coverage area fits your pattern of loss, or if you want help measuring. We will recommend a starting point rather than leave you to guess.

FAQ

Is a hair system the same as a wig? No. A system covers a defined area, is made to your measurements, and bonds to the scalp to blend with your own hair.

Will people be able to tell? A well-matched system is undetectable at normal distance; fine lace and skin bases hold up at close range too.

Do I have to shave my head? No — most wearers only keep the attachment area trimmed short.
