The Afro Skin pairs strong, natural-looking hair styled into tight afro curls with a smooth, transparent 0.08 mm thin-skin base — the most beginner-friendly route to an afro-textured hair system.

Best for: first-time wearers and anyone who wants the fastest, simplest bond-and-remove routine without giving up an authentic afro-curl look.

Construction: an ultra-thin 0.08 mm transparent poly skin base carrying 100% human hair set into tight afro curls at light/medium density (100%). The 8" × 10" (20.3 × 25.4 cm) base trims to fit, with 5" (12.7 cm) hair length, freestyle direction, and a standard front contour.

Hairline & naturalness: the transparent skin takes on your scalp tone underneath, so the base disappears where it's bonded, and freestyle ventilation lets you pick and shape the curls in any direction.

Durability: at 0.08 mm, the base balances realism with practicality — expect the 4–6 month lifespan typical of thin skin bases, with the curls holding their shape through daily wear.

Maintenance: this base is why beginners start here. It bonds quickly with tape or liquid adhesive and removes just as cleanly — residue wipes off the smooth surface in minutes. Clean gently with a skin-safe adhesive remover, skip clips, and finger-detangle or pick rather than brushing the curls out.

Not ideal for: hot climates and heavy sweating, where the airy Afro Lace breathes far better — it also carries a fuller 110% density versus this system's 100% — or straight and wavy styles, found in our skin collection.
