Care recommendations: Wash on a sensible schedule with sulfate-free products. The smooth, non-porous base releases adhesive residue in minutes and does not absorb oils or product. Never comb when wet, and air-dry or use low heat. Bond with tape or liquid adhesive — clips are not suitable for a skin base.

Dura Skin uses a 0.12 mm transparent polyurethane base with a bonded clear gauze layer. The result is a stronger skin system that holds its shape, releases adhesive cleanly, and gives active wearers a more forgiving daily workhorse. Where thinner skins reward you with invisibility but ask for frequent replacement, the Dura Skin is tuned the other way; maximum service life from a poly base, with realism that still holds up under normal lighting.

How invisible is the hairline really?

At conversation distance (over 30cm), the single-knot hairline passes a barber's lift test in 96% of first-wear fittings. The front 12mm is knotted individually — the stretch that separates a real hairline from an obvious one.

What's the actual lifespan?

12–16 weeks of daily wear with weekly re-tape. Clients on our care-kit refill subscription average closer to 16 weeks. The base, not the hair, determines lifespan.

Can I swim or shower in it?

Yes. The lace is hydrophobic and the adhesive holds in chlorinated water. Salt water just needs a quick freshwater rinse after.

What if it doesn't fit on the first wear?

We re-cut for free within the first 90 days. A 3-month fit warranty is standard — not a premium add-on. If it drifts, that's a design problem and we own it.

How is it different from a stock system?

A stock cap is built for a head shape. This is built for your head, from a tape-and-cling mould of your specific scalp. The difference shows at the hairline and the temples — the two places everyone looks.
